Motherwell, Wishaw and Carluke is aconstituency of theHouse of Commons in theUK Parliament.[2] Further to the completion of the2023 review of Westminster constituencies, it was first contested at the2024 general election, when it was won byPamela Nash ofScottish Labour.
The constituency comprises the following:[3][4]
The bulk of the constituency, comprising the areas in North Lanarkshire comes from the formerMotherwell and Wishaw constituency; the areas in South Lanarkshire were previously part of the abolishedLanark and Hamilton East constituency.[5][6]
Electoral Calculus characterises the seat as "Traditionalist", with left-wing economic views but more liberal social attitudes. Incomes and house prices in the seat are well below UK averages.[7]
