Morgue Street is a 2012Italianhorrorshort film directed by Alberto Viavattene and based onEdgar Allan Poe's 1841 short story "The Murders in the Rue Morgue". The film gained notoriety when it was banned inAustralia by theAustralian Classification Board before it could screen atSydney's A Night of Horror film festival.[1] It has been praised byJack Ketchum,Brian Yuzna, andUwe Boll.[citation needed]
