Morafeno is a town and commune (Malagasy:kaominina) in northernMadagascar. It belongs to thedistrict ofSambava, which is a part ofSava Region. It is located at theFanambana River.[2]
The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 9,000 in 2001 communecensus.[1]
Only primary schooling is available in town. The majority 99.9% of the population the commune are farmers. The most important crop isvanilla, while other important products arecoffee,cloves andrice. Services provide employment for 0.1% of the population.[1]
