Monteparano (Salentino:Muntiparanu) is atown andcomune in theprovince of Taranto in theApulia region of southeastItaly. Monteparano was historically anArbëreshë settlement. After the inhabitants abandoned theAlbanian Greek Orthodox faith they assimilated into the local population.[3]
