Monte Galero is a mountain inLiguria, northernItaly, part of theAlps. It is located in the provinces ofSavona andCuneo. It lies at an altitude of 1708 metres and, afterMonte Armetta, is the second highest summit of theLigurian Prealps.[2]

The mountain is accessible by off-road mountain paths and is crossed by theAlta Via dei Monti Liguri, a long-distance trail fromVentimiglia (province ofImperia) toBolano (province ofLa Spezia).[4]
