Mohammad Sajid Dhot (born 10 December 1997) is anIndian professionalfootballer who plays as adefender forI-League clubSreenidi Deccan.[1]

Career

Early career

Born inMalerkotla,Punjab, Dhot started his footballing career at the St. Stephen's Football Academy Chandigarh, under the coaching of Harjinder Singh.[2] Dhot eventually, along with the rest of theIndia under-17 side, moved to theUnited States to train at theIMG Academy for a year.[3] While in the US, Dhot played in tournaments such as the IMG Cup and theDallas Cup.[3] After returning to India, Dhot joined theAIFF Elite Academy and played for the side in theI-League U19.[4]

DSK Shivajians

Before the2015–16 I-League, Dhot signed for the newly promoted sideDSK Shivajians.[5] He made his professional debut for the side on 14 February 2016 againstSalgaocar.[6]

International

Dhot was part of the India under-13 and under-14 sides that took part in the AFC football festivals.[3] His performance during the festival helped Dhot earn his year abroad in the United States.[3] Dhot soon represented India at theunder-16 level.[3] Dhot has also represented India at theunder-19 level.[7]
