Full nameMohammad Fanaei

Mohammad Fanaei (born 24 December 1951) is a formerIranianassociation football(soccer) referee. He was anassistant referee for the final of the1994 FIFA World Cup betweenBrazil andItaly.[1] He also worked as an assistant referee at the1992 Summer Olympics inBarcelona.[2]

He was subsequently an assistant referee in two matches during the1995 King Fahd Cup (precursor competition to theFIFA Confederations Cup), including the Final betweenDenmark andArgentina.[3]

In 1994, he was named "Linesman of the Year" in theAsian Football Confederation.[4]
