It was announced in November 2024 thatChris Rock was set to write and direct a film forNeon, in which he would also star. The film at the time was titledMisty Green.[1]
In July 2025, the now untitled project moved toA24, and began production inLos Angeles.Rosalind Eleazar was cast in the role of Misty Green, withAdam Driver,Daniel Kaluuya andAnna Kendrick also added to the cast.[2]Topher Grace,Anthony Anderson,Kelli Garner,Amy Landecker, andRich Sommer would join the cast the following month.[3][4]
