National beauty contest in Honduras
Miss Grand Honduras is a nationalbeauty pageant inHonduras , founded in 2022 by achairperson of AV Productions, Amelia Vega.[ 1] [ 2] [ 3] [ 4] Miss Grand International .[ 1] [ 2] [ 4] Miss Honduras organization.[ 5] [ 6]
Honduras participated in the Miss Grand International pageant four times in 2013, 2015, 2021, and 2022,[ 3] [ 5] [ 6] [ 7] [ 8] Colón Department who was crowned on 10 July 2022 at La Galería inTegucigalpa , she will represent Honduras inMiss Grand International 2022 .[ 4] [ 9] [ 10]
Honduras participated atMiss Grand International for the first time in 2013, represented by formerMiss Honduras 2013 Nelly Reyes,[ 5] [ 5] [ 6] Miss International Queen Honduras , Amelia Vega, acquired the license in 2021 and subsequently appointedCelia Monterrosa [es ] ,Miss Honduras 2017 , to participate in that year's edition inThailand .[ 3] Miss Grand International 2022 and2023 .[ 1] [ 2] [ 11] eighteen country departments , of whichSaira Cacho ofColón was elected the main winner,[ 4] [ 9] [ 10] [ 12] Britthany Marroquin ofCopán was named the 2023 titleholder.[ 11]
After the finish of theMiss Grand International 2024 pageant, the partnership between Amelia Vega and theMGI PCL was discontinued.[ 13]
Selection of contestants [ edit ] In its first two editions, the national finalists were directly chosen by the central licensee through an online application then the qualified candidates were later assigned to represent one of the18 country's administrative departments .[ 1] [ 2]
