Miss Grand Australia 2022 was the sixth edition of theMiss Grand Australia pageant, held on July 16, 2022,[1][2] at theSofitel Sydney Wentworth,Sydney.[3] Twenty-one candidates from differentstates and territories of Australia competed for the title as well as the right to represent the country at its parent international stage,Miss Grand International 2022.
At the end of the event, a 26-year-oldcommunications coordinator from the state ofVictoria, Amber Sidney, was named the winner,[4][5] while Paitin Powell from the state ofQueensland was named the first runner-up.[2] Amber later represented Australia at the aforementioned international contest inIndonesia on October 25,[6][7] but was unplaced,[8][9] making her the first Australian representative to be disqualified at theMiss Grand International.[10]
