Miroslav Stevanović (pronounced[mǐroslaʋsteʋâːnoʋitɕ]; born 29 July 1990) is a Bosnian professionalfootballer who plays as awinger forSwiss Super League clubServette.
Stevanović started his professional career atVojvodina, who loaned him toPalić in 2009 and toBorac Banja Luka in 2010. In 2013, he was transferred toSevilla, who sent him on loan toElche later that year and toAlavés a year later. In 2014, he signed withGyőr. The following year, Stevanović switched toErgotelis. He joinedŽeljezničar in 2016. A year after, he moved to Servette.
A former youth international forBosnia and Herzegovina, Stevanović made his senior international debut in 2012, earning over 30caps until 2023.
Stevanović started playing football at his hometown clubDrina Zvornik, before joining the youth academy of Serbian teamVojvodina in 2008.[2] In July 2009, he was sent on six-month loan toPalić, with whom he made his professional debut and scored his first professional goal.[3] In January 2010, he was loaned toBorac Banja Luka until the end of the season.[4]
In January 2013, Stevanović was transferred to Spanish sideSevilla.[5] In July, he was sent on a season-long loan toElche.[6] In January 2014, he was loaned toAlavés for the remainder of the campaign.[7]
In December, Stevanović moved to Hungarian clubGyőr.[8]
In September 2015, he joined Greek outfitErgotelis.[9]
In January 2016, he switched toŽeljezničar.[10]
In July 2017, Stevanović signed a three-year deal with Swiss sideServette.[11] He made his official debut for the team on 4 August againstRapperswil-Jona.[12] On 10 September, he scored his first goal for Servette in a triumph overFC Schaffhausen.[13]
In January 2019, he was namedSwiss Challenge League Player of the Year.[14]
Stevanović was instrumental in Servette's conquest of theSwiss Challenge League title, his first trophy with the club, which was sealed on 10 May and earned them promotion to theSwiss Super League. He had an impact of 11 goals and 14 assists.[15]
In May, he extended his contract with the squad until June 2022.[16]
He made his 100th appearance for the side againstBasel on 19 July 2020.[17]
In August 2021, he put pen to paper on a new four-year deal with Servette.[18]
With 20 assists, Stevanović finished the2021–22 season as the league's top assist provider, beating the previous record for most assists in a single campaign, 19, set byStéphane Chapuisat.[19]
He played his 200th game for the club on 2 March 2023 against FC Rotkreuz and managed to score a goal.[20]
In December 2024, he prolonged his contract with Servette until the end of his career.[21]
He appeared in his 300th match for the team againstYoung Boys on 11 May 2025.[22]
Stevanović representedBosnia and Herzegovina at all youth levels.[23]
In May 2012, he received his first senior call up, forfriendly games against theRepublic of Ireland andMexico.[24] He debuted against the former on 26 May.[25]
On 15 August, in a friendly match againstWales, Stevanović scored his first senior international goal.[26]
He retired from international football on 17 May 2024.[27]
