Mirko Jozić (Croatian pronunciation:[mǐːrkojǒːzitɕ];[1][2] born 8 April 1940) is a Croatian retired professionalfootballmanager and player.
As manager, he won the1987 FIFA World Youth Championship in Chile with theYugoslavia under-20 national team composed of famous names such asRobert Jarni,Igor Štimac,Zvonimir Boban,Robert Prosinečki andDavor Šuker.He coached Chilean sideColo-Colo between 1989 and 1993, winning theCopa Libertadores in 1991. Jozić is the first European to have won the Copa Libertadores.[3]
He led theCroatia national team at the2002 FIFA World Cup.[4]
