Minene Sakurano (桜野 みねね,Sakurano Minene, born 29 November 1973) is the pen name[2] of aJapanesemanga artist born on November 29 inSendai,Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.[2]
Sakurano made her debut in 1995 with her storyMother Doll, which tied for first place in the 1st Enix 21st Century Manga Prize contest, sharing the prize with Yasaka Mamiko'sKaze no Daidōzoku.[3] Her representative work isMamotte Shugogetten, which was adapted into ananime television series and anOVA series. After a dispute in 2001, Sakurano stopped publishingShugogetten inEnix'sShōnen Gangan and moved the publication toComic Blade, published byMag Garden under the titleMamotte Shugogetten! Retrouvailles.
