TheMilitary ranks of Zaire were the military insignia used by theZairian Armed Forces. The ranks are based on theBelgian military ranks, with additional influence fromFrance and theUnited States.^[1] Following the overthrow ofMobutu Sese Seko, the ranks were replaced by themilitary ranks of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
