TheMilitary ranks of Chad are the military insignia used by theChad National Army. Chad is alandlocked country, and does therefore not possess a navy. Being aformer colony of France,Chad shares a rank structure similar to that ofFrance.[1]

In 2020, theNational Assembly established and awarded the rank of Marshal toIdriss Déby.[2] On 9 December 2024, theNational Transitional Council elevatedMahamat Déby to the rank of Marshal.[3]
