Miles is anunincorporated community inLincoln County, in theU.S. state ofWashington. It is located adjacent toFort Spokane where theSpokane River empties into theColumbia River.[2]
A post office called Miles was in operation from 1881 until 1962.[3] The community was named after Gen.Nelson A. Miles. The post office was the address of Fort Spokane.[4][5]
