Mike Smithson is an American make-up artist who has over 80 credits to him. He has done films such asMen in Black III,Star Trek,How the Grinch Stole Christmas,Avatar andLincoln among many other big named films.
One of his first jobs was on theDisneyland 3D attractionCaptain EO.
He received an Oscar nomination during the72nd Academy Awards for the filmAustin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me in the category ofBest Makeup. He shared the nomination withMichèle Burke.[1]
He also won anEmmy Award for the TV showGilmore Girls, which he was previously nominated forStar Trek: The Next Generation andStar Trek: Deep Space Nine.
