Mike Lang was chief executive officer ofMiramax Films. He resigned March 16, 2012.[2]
Lang was a formerNews Corp. executive, where he was involved in acquiringMySpace and starting the streaming serviceHulu. Lang steered the deal forFilmyard Holdings to purchase Miramax Films fromThe Walt Disney Company.[3] At closing he was named CEO of Miramax Films,[4][5] where he licensed[6] or sold the bulk of itsWeinstein-era film catalog.[3]
In February 2016, Lang joined theDiscovery Channel network.[3] That November, Discovery Networks International appointed him to lead its Nordic region of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, as president of International Development, Digital and Discovery Nordics.[6]
