Michael James Haight (born October 6, 1962) is an American former professionalfootball player who was anoffensive tackle in theNational Football League (NFL) for theNew York Jets andWashington Redskins. He was selected by the Jets in the first round of the1986 NFL draft with the 22nd overall pick.[1] He playedcollege football at theUniversity of Iowa and playedhigh school football atBeckman High School.
Haight was the first overall pick in the 1986United States Football League draft by theOrlando Renegades. However, the league ceased operations soon thereafter and Haight never signed nor played with the team.[2]
