Michael Edward Bragg (born September 26, 1946) is an American former professionalfootball player who was apunter in theNational Football League (NFL) for theWashington Redskins andBaltimore Colts. He playedcollege football for theRichmond Spiders and was selected in the fifth round of the1968 NFL/AFL draft.[1]
Bragg played 12 of his 13 years with theWashington Redskins, from 1968-1979, and as of January 2025 continues to be the franchise leader in number of punts, with 896.[2]
Bragg was the last active NFL player to play forVince Lombardi, who coached the Redskins in1969 before succumbing to colon cancer in 1970.
