Michael Joseph Brady (April 15, 1887[1] – December 3, 1972) was an Americanprofessional golfer.
Brady was born inBrighton, Massachusetts, on April 15, 1887.[1]
Brady won ninePGA events between 1916 and 1926.[2] He lost in a three-way playoff toJohn McDermott in the1911 U.S. Open. He lost toWalter Hagen in a celebrated playoff in the1919 U.S. Open atBrae Burn Country Club. Hagen promptly resigned his club pro job atOakland Hills Country Club after winning and Oakland Hills promptly hired Brady. Brady subsequently won the 1922Western Open at Oakland Hills.
Brady died inDunedin, Florida, at the age of 85.[1]
