Middle Peak is ahigh andprominentmountainsummit in theSan Miguel Mountains range of theRocky Mountains ofNorth America. The 13,306-foot (4,056 m) peak is located in theLizard Head Wilderness, 17.1 miles (27.6 km) west-southwest (bearing 250°) of theTown of Telluride,Colorado,United States, on thedrainage divide separatingSan Juan National Forest andDolores County fromUncompahgre National Forest andSan Miguel County.[1][2][4]
NeighboringDolores Peak on the same drainage divide may be higher than Middle Peak. If this is the case, Dolores Peak would be the moretopographically prominent of the two summits.
