Michele Camporese (Italian pronunciation:[miˈkɛːlekampoˈreːze;-eːse]; born 19 May 1992) is anItalian professionalfootballer who plays as acentre-back forSerie C Group B clubLivorno.
Born inPisa,Tuscany, Camporese is a product ofFiorentina'syouth system. He made his debut for theViola in theCoppa Italia tie againstEmpoli on 26 October 2010, replacingAlessandro Gamberini in the 66th minute and played the wholeextra time. Fiorentina won the match 1–0 assuring qualification to the successive round; Camporese was cautioned in the added time of second half. On 20 November 2010, he made hisSerie A debut, replacing the injuredCesare Natali at half time in the match againstMilan inSan Siro.[1] In the next match he replaced suspendedPer Krøldrup as starting centre back, partnered withAlessandro Gamberini againstJuventus. On 13 February 2011 he scored his first goal in Serie A in a match won 4–2 againstPalermo.
In November 2011 he signed a new 5-year contract withLa Viola.[2]
On 13 July 2013, Fiorentina confirmed on their website that Michele Camporese had joined Cesena on a season-long loan.[3]
On 25 July 2015, Camporese departed Fiorentina forEmpoli after spending five seasons inFlorence. It was confirmed by Empoli that he had agreed a contract until 30 June 2018.[4]
On 18 July 2019, he signed a 2-year contract withPordenone.[5]
On 31 January 2022, Camporese moved on loan toCosenza.[6]
On 20 July 2022, he signed a three-year contract withReggina.[7]
On 4 September 2023, Camporese joinedFeralpisalò on a contract until June 2025.[8]
On 10 January 2024, he returned toCosenza on loan with an obligation to buy.[9]
On 17 January 2025, Camporese joined the newly created Serie C clubMilan Futuro, which serves as thereserve team ofSerie A clubAC Milan.[10] On 1 July 2025, after six months with the team during the2024–25 season, after relegation toSerie D, Camporese and Milan Futuro reached an agreement to terminate his contract, making him a free agent ahead of the 2025–26 season.
On 28 January 2026, he signed with Serie C clubLivorno as a free agent.[11]
Camporese has played for every Italy's youth team level, except for the U-20. With theItaly U-17 team he capped twice at the2009 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship qualifying round and another two times in theelite round. In thefinal tournament, his only appearance arrived as a second half cameo in the semi-final defeat againstGermany U-17. He then started all four matches in2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, in which theAzzurrini bowed out from the competition after defeat against Switzerland in the quarter finals. WithItaly U-19 he played all three matches of the2011 UEFA U-19 Championship qualifiers.
Under the new regime ofCiro Ferrara, he received his first call-up forItaly U-21 in November 2010. He made his debut on 17 November 2010, replacingRiccardo Brosco in the first half of thefriendly match, winningTurkey 2–1.[12]
