Michau Warriors was a South Africansoccer club.
They played in theinaugural 1996–97 season of thePremiership, where they were relegated to theNational First Division (NFD) after finishing in 17th place.[1] The club was relegated after relegation rivalsAmaZulu were awarded an additional two points by the governingPremier Soccer League after AmaZulu protested that two players from their drawn game withBush Bucks had failed to produce identity documents. Warriors lost their appeal against this decision, and as a result were relegated.[2][3]
The following1997–98 season they finished second in the NFD coastal stream.[4]
The club was based inPort Elizabeth.
Warriors experienced financial difficulties after owner Michau Huiseman was arrested in theUnited Kingdom, allegedly for smugglingmarijuana,[2] and the club disbanded prior to the start of the1998–99 season.
