Meulan-en-Yvelines (French pronunciation:[mølɑ̃ɑ̃.n‿ivlin]ⓘ, before 2010:Meulan)[3] is acommune in theYvelinesdepartment in theÎle-de-Franceregion in north-centralFrance. It hosted part of thesailing events for the1900 Summer Olympics held in neighbouringParis, and would do soagain24 years later.
In 1435, as a part of theHundred Years' War,Ambroise de Loré andJean de Dunois defeated the English nearby.[4]
Meulan hosted the firstregatta in thesailing event at the1900 Summer Olympics.
