Metro Herald was the title of afree daily commuter newspaper inDublin,Ireland.[1][2][3][4] It was formed in 2010[5] following the merger of two previously competing publications,Metro Ireland andHerald AM, to create a profit for their respective backers, includingIndependent News & Media,Daily Mail and General Trust, andThe Irish Times.

The newspaper ceased publication on 19 December 2014.[6] 13 jobs were lost. The company said that the newspaper had become "unsustainable".
