Metbah Lyngdoh is aUnited Democratic Party politician fromMeghalaya, India. He was elected to theMeghalaya Legislative Assembly elections in 2008, 2013 and 2018 fromMairang constituency as a candidate ofUnited Democratic Party. Lyngdoh, for the fourth time consecutively, was elected to the11th Meghalaya Legislative Assembly in 2023.[2] He was the speaker ofMeghalaya Legislative Assembly. He is alsoUnited Democratic Party president after the death ofDonkupar Roy. He was Minister of Excise Registration Taxation Stamps, Home (Civil Defence and Home Guards), Tourism, and Water Resources inConrad Sangma ministry from 2018 to 2019.[3][4][5][6]He is also the current minister for the Power Department, Textiles Department, Water Resources Department, and Taxation Department under theMDA 2.0.[7]
