Merrill-Stevens Drydock & Repair Co. was ashipbuilding anddrydock company currently based inMiami,Florida.[1] The company was incorporated in 1885 inJacksonville, Florida byJames Eugene Merrill, and was located along theSt. Johns River. The Miami shipyard was sold to Turkish yachtsmanRahmi Koç in December 2013, and is now named "RMK Merrill-Stevens". The yacht brokerage company is now called "Merrill Stevens Yachts"[2] According to the company, it was the largestAtlantic shipyard south ofNorfolk, Virginia duringWorld War II.[3]
