TheMelvin River is an 8.1-mile-long (13.0 km)[1]river in theLakes Region of centralNew Hampshire in theUnited States. It is atributary ofLake Winnipesaukee, part of theMerrimack Riverwatershed.
The Melvin River lies entirely within the town ofTuftonboro. It begins at the outlet of Melvin Pond, near the town's eastern border, and flows west along the base of theOssipee Mountains to the north. The river reachesLake Winnipesaukee atMelvin Village.
