Mel Profit (born July 30, 1941) is an American former professionalCanadian football player who played in theCanadian Football League (CFL) for six years. He was selected originally by theLos Angeles Rams in the1963 NFL draft.[1] He starred as atight end for theToronto Argonauts.
Profit authored a book entitledFor Love, Money and Future Considerations which gave a player's view of the CFL. The book chronicled the1971 season in which the Toronto Argonauts played in theGrey Cup, losing to theCalgary Stampeders.
