Mei Suruga (駿河メイ,Suruga Mei; born May 30, 1999) is a Japaneseprofessional wrestler, currently working forChocoPro.[2]

Suruga is a former one timeAsia Dream Tag Team Champion and one-timePrincess Tag Team Champion.

Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling (2018–present)

Suruga debuted as aprofessional wrestler atGatoh Move In Kitazawa Town Hall, an event promoted byGatoh Move Pro Wrestling on May 27, 2018, where she fell short to her trainer,Emi Sakura.[5] AtGatoh Move ChocoPro #76 on December 31, 2020, Suruga teamed up with Baliyan Akki as Best Bros to defeat Reset (Emi Sakura andKaori Yoneyama) for theAsia Dream Tag Team Championship.[6]

DDT Pro Wrestling (2018–present)

She participated atDDT Beer Garden Fight 2018, an event promoted byDDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT) on August 1, 2018, where she teamed up withEmi Sakura andRiho, falling short to NEO Biishiki-gun (Masahiro Takanashi,Yoshiko andSakisama).[7] Suruga competed in another DDT event, titledMasa TakanashiProduce ~ Follow Me on September 15, 2019, where she teamed up withSaki Akai and participated in aneight-team gauntlet tag team match competing against the eventual winnersHoshitango andSeiya Morohashi,Mao and Yusuke Inokuma, Disaster Box (Kazuki Hirata andToru Owashi),Antonio Honda andRiho,Cherry and Emi Sakura,Gota Ihashi andShota, andGorgeous Matsuno andKonosuke Takeshita.[8]

Suruga competed in theEVE SHE-1 ~ Ace Of EVE 2019, a tournament promoted byPro-Wrestling: EVE, in November 2019, where she placed herself in the Block C and competed againstJetta,Jazz, Rhia O'Reilly and Lulu Pencil, finishing with four points.[9] AtAJPW GROWIN' UP Vol.24, an event produced byAll Japan Pro Wrestling on February 26, 2020, Suruga teamed up withBlack Menso~re under thering name of Pink Menso~re to defeatHikaru Sato andSumire Natsu in anintergender tag team match.[10]

Sendai Girls' Pro Wrestling (2018–2020)

Suruga is also known for her tenure withSendai Girls' Pro Wrestling. On April 17, 2019, at ahouse show, she teamed up withJordynne Grace andSareee to defeatChihiro Hashimoto,Killer Kelly andMikoto Shindo in asix-woman tag team match.[11] One day earlier, on April 16, 2019, Suruga competed at anotherhouse show where she teamed up withRyo Mizunami to defeatKaoru and Mikoto Shindo.[12] AtSendai Girls Joshi Puroresu Big Show In Sendai on October 13, 2019, Suruga competed in a8-woman battle royal against the winnerHikaru Shida,Jaguar Yokota,Kaoru,Sakura Hirota,Alex Lee,Ayame Sasamura and Aiger.[13]

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (2020–present)

Suruga first appeared in Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling in a tag match with Moka Miyamoto at Wrestle Princess I[14] before beginning to appear regularly under herMei Saint-Michel gimmick in December 2020.[15] Suruga won the "Futari wa Princess" Max Heart Tournament on March 6, 2021, teaming withSakisama as NEO Biishiki-gun, defeatingMaki Itoh andMiyu Yamashita in the finals.[16] AtTokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling'sTJPW Still Incomplete on April 17, 2021, Suruga and Sakisama defeated Bakurestu Sisters (Nodoka Tenma andYuki Aino) to win thePrincess Tag Team Championship.[17] NEO Biishiki-gun lost the tag titles to the team of the Magical Sugar Rabbits (Yuka Sakazaki andMizuki) atWrestle Princess II on October 9, 2021.[18]

All Elite Wrestling (2021)

On February 3, 2021, atBeach Break, Suruga was announced as a participant in theAEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Tournament.[19] She lost toYuka Sakazaki in the first round which aired on February 15.[20] On February 28, 2021, she teamed up withHikaru Shida andRin Kadokura to defeatVeny,Maki Itoh andEmi Sakura in asix-person tag team match.[21] In November and December 2021 Suruga returned to AEW, where she served primarily as a valet to Emi Sakura.[22]
