Mehmet Emin Toprak (11 September 1974 – 2 December 2002) was a Turkish film actor.
Toprak starred in the critically acclaimed 2002 filmUzak.[1] He died in acar crash on the way back from theAnkara Film Festival near the town ofÇan, at the age of 28.[2]
A few weeks after the accident, the filmUzak was shown at the2003 Cannes Film Festival, where Toprak was posthumously awardedBest Actor.[3]
Toprak collaborated with his cousinNuri Bilge Ceylan in his films. He had beenmarried for five months at the time of his death.[2][4]
