Margaret DeLacy Kelley (born July 9, 1996) is an American actress and singer.[1] She is known for her role asCindy Burman in theDC Universe seriesStargirl.[2][3]
DeLacy was born and raised inSouthern California. Her mother isFilipina.[4]
DeLacy began her acting career in 2012, when she started creating music at the age of 8 before picking up a guitar when she was 12 years old. DeLacy has her ownYouTube channel.[5] In 2012, DeLacy made her feature film debut in the South Korean comedy-drama filmPapa, in which she played the role of Maya.[6] From 2013 to 2015, DeLacy was cast to play the lead role in the web seriesSide Effects portraying Whitney Connolly. In 2016, DeLacy had a recurring role in the teen drama seriesRecovery Road, playing Nyla.[7]
In 2017, DeLacy appeared as Candy in the comedy filmAustin Found directed by Will Raee, which was released on July 7, 2017.[8] On the same year, DeLacy was cast in the teen comedy film byBenny Fine titledF the Prom.[9] Also the same year, DeLacy had a recurring role in the drama web series inZac & Mia portraying Chloe. She played the role as Grace onThe Fosters from 2017 to 2018, where she held a recurring role. For her role inWoodstock or Bust, DeLacy was nominated in 2019 for Best Supporting Actress by the Lady Filmmakers Film Festival.[10] She appeared as Clara inChris Sivertson's thriller filmShattered Memories.[11]
In early 2020, DeLacy won the Best Ensemble in 2020 Independent Shorts Awards and also won the Best Actress in 2020 Fright Night Film Festival, for the short filmScars, where she held a lead role.[12]
From 2020 to 2022, DeLacy starred as the villainousCindy Burman inStargirl.[13]
