Medina, officially theMunicipality of Medina (Cebuano:Lungsod sa Medina;Tagalog:Bayan ng Medina), is amunicipality in theprovince ofMisamis Oriental,Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 35,612 people.[5]

The town got its name fromMedina-Sidonia,Spain, after the Spaniards noticed the similarities of the features of the place with the ones inMedina-Sidonia.
