TheMbara, also known asKumbulmara,[1]Mitjamba,Midjamba andKumbulara, are or were anAboriginal Australian people of the present-day state ofQueensland. They spoke the Pama–NyunganMbara language.

Country

Norman Tindale estimated Mitjamba lands as covering some 13,000 square kilometres (5,100 mi2), in the area of theWoolgar andStawell rivers. Their northern limits ran to theGregory Range and Gledswood. The western frontier was close toSaxby Downs, while their eastern boundaries were around Chudleigh Park. They were as far south as Cambridge Downs.[1]
