Elections are held every four years in theoff-year immediately afterUS presidential election years inOverland Park, Kansas to elect the city'smayor. Elections for city officials inJohnson County are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. If more than two candidates file to run for office, a primary must be held on the first Tuesday in August.[1]
