Mayko Nguyen is a Canadian actress. She has appeared inReGenesis,Rookie Blue,Killjoys,Titans andHudson & Rex.

Early life

Nguyen grew up inVancouver, British Columbia, Canada and currently lives inToronto.

Nguyen has had lead and recurring roles on a variety of television series, includingBloodletting and Miraculous Cures,[1]Cracked[2] andSlasher.[3] Nguyen's most notable television roles are Mayko Tran onReGenesis,[4] Sue Tran onRookie Blue[5] and Delle Seyah Kendry onKilljoys.[6] Currently she stars in theCitytv showHudson & Rex, a serial police drama where she plays a police forensicist.

Nguyen's film work includesGoing the Distance,[7]The Last New Year[8] andBelow Her Mouth.[9]

Nguyen is also a stage actress, and performed inThe Unending during the 2016 Toronto Fringe Festival[10] and David French's two hander play,Salt-Water Moon in the spring of 2016.Salt-Water Moon went on to be named "Best Toronto Theatre Production of the Decade" by NOW Magazine.[11]

Her voice work includes video gamesFar Cry New Dawn,Far Cry 5.[12] She is also to voice of Ms. Furi onSpin Master's animated Netflix showUnicorn Academy.[13]

In 2008 Nguyen was nominated at the ACTRA awards for "Outstanding Female Performance" for her role as Mayko Tran inReGenesis, and nominated for "Best Lead in a Drama Series" at theCanadian Screen Awards consecutively in 2023 and 2024 for her role as Sarah inHudson & Rex.[14][15][16]
