Max Klauß (born 27 July 1947 in ) is a retired East Germanlong jumper, who competed at the1972 Summer Olympics.

Biography

Klauss competed for the sports clubsSC Karl-Marx-Stadt andSC Einheit Dresden during his active career. He held the East German record in the long jump until his mark was surpassed byKlaus Beer in 1968.[1]

Klauss finished second behindLynn Davies in the long jump event at the British1967 AAA Championships.[2][3][4]

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he representedEast Germany in the long jump competition.[5]
