Matías Alejandro Ibáñez Basualdo (born 16 December 1986) is an Argentinefootballer who plays forOlimpo as agoalkeeper.
Born inBuenos Aires, Ibáñez graduated from localVélez Sarsfield, but made his senior debuts with neighbouringOlimpo. With the side he achieved promotion back toPrimera División in the2009–10 season, as champions.
On 31 July 2012 Ibáñez moved toSan Lorenzo in a season-long loan.[1] Initially as a backup forPablo Migliore, he managed to appear ten times forCiclón.
On 11 February 2014free agent Ibáñez joined SpanishSegunda División sideSD Eibar.[2] On 20 June, after making no appearances for theArmeros, he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract withLanús.[3]
In 2024, he moved to Chile and joinedUnión La Calera fromColón.[4]
