Themasked ringtail possum (Pseudochirulus larvatus) is amarsupial possum of the family Pseudocheiridae. It is found in northeasternNew Guinea in theStar Mountains. the easternCentral Cordillera, theHuon Peninsula and the northern coast ranges.[1][3] Masked ringtails arearboreal residents of variousforest ecosystems. They aresexually dimorphic and locally common.[1] This species is sometimes classified as a subpopulation ofP. forbesi;[1][3] however, it has a separate range.
