Masghati (in Persian:مسقطی) is a soft and transparent confection in Iran[1] made withrose water,starch, sugar and water. Along withkoloocheh, it is a tradition ofNowruz New Year celebrations.Pistachio,saffron, andcardamom can also be used to make masghati.[1][2]Masghati is produced inFars province, particularly inKazeroun,Larestan county andShiraz. The masghati which is produced in Kazeroun and Larestan are more viscous and sweeter than the Shirazi one.Koloocheh and Masghati aresouvenirs of Shiraz.[3]
