Marwin Evans (born April 10, 1993) is anAmerican footballsafety who is a free agent. After high school, Evans attendedHighland Community College in Northeast Kansas before transferring to playcollege football atUtah State.
Evans signed with theGreen Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2016.[1] He played in all 16 games in his rookie season primarily onspecial teams recording sixtackles.
On September 1, 2018, Evans was waived by the Packers and was re-signed to thepractice squad.[2][3] He was released on September 11, 2018.[4]
On January 1, 2019, Evans was signed to theSeattle Seahawks practice squad.[5] He signed a reserve/future contract on six days later after the Seahawks lost to theDallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round of theplayoffs.[6] He was waived on August 10, 2019.[7]
On November 22, 2019, Evans was drafted by theDallas Renegades of theXFL in the2020 XFL Supplemental Draft.[8] He was waived during final roster cuts on January 22, 2020.[9] He was signed to the XFL's practice squad team, referred to asTeam 9, on January 30, 2020.[10] He re-signed with the Renegades on March 9, 2020.[11] He had his contract terminated when the league suspended operations on April 10, 2020.[12]
Evans signed with theWinnipeg Blue Bombers of theCanadian Football League on January 30, 2021.[13] He was placed on the suspended list on July 9, 2021.[14]
TheVegas Vipers of the XFL added Evans through the2023 XFL Draft. The Vipers folded when the XFL andUnited States Football League merged to create theUnited Football League (UFL).[15]
