TheMartinican Democratic Rally (French:Rassemblement démocratique martiniquais, RDM) is aMartinicanpolitical party founded on March 26, 2006 byClaude Lise,Senator andPresident of the General Council. Lise was a member of theMartinican Progressive Party. The party favours the autonomy ofMartinique within France, unlike the nationalist MIM. The party had one seat in theEuropean Parliament,Madeleine de Grandmaison, until2009. It also has 9 seats in the general council and 3 in the regional council.
