Marshal of Yugoslavia was the highest military distinction, rather than amilitary rank of theYugoslav People's Army. In military hierarchy it was equivalent toMarshal (field marshal), and, simultaneously, aYugoslav honorific title.

The only person to ever hold the title of "Marshal of Yugoslavia" wasJosip Broz Tito, with the term "Marshal" becoming synonymous with his name in Yugoslavia. He received it at thesecond session ofAVNOJ in theBosnian town ofJajce on 30 November 1943, and held it untilhis death on 4 May 1980.[1] Tito had more than 70 different marshal uniforms.[2][3]
