Maroan Sannadi Harrouch (born 1 February 2001) is a Spanish professionalfootballer who plays as aforward forAthletic Bilbao.
Born inVitoria-Gasteiz,Álava,Basque Country to Moroccan parents,[1] Sannadi represented hometown sidesCD Lakua [eu] andCD Aurrerá de Vitoria as a youth.[2] On 18 September 2020, after finishing his formation, he joinedTercera División sideCD Ariznabarra.[3]
In 2021, Sannadi signed forDeportivo Alavés, being initially assigned tofarm teamClub San Ignacio inTercera División RFEF. He was promoted tothe reserves inSegunda Federación in the following year, after scoring a career-best 16 goals for San Ignacio.
On 29 February 2024, Sannadi renewed his contract with theBabazorros until 2027.[4]
On 16 July 2024, Sannadi was loaned toPrimera Federación sideBarakaldo CF forthe season.[5][6] He scored braces for the club in wins overGimnàstic de Tarragona (2–1),Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa (3–0) andCA Osasuna B (2–1), and reached 11 goals in only 20 appearances.[7]
After being a target ofAthletic Bilbao since October 2024,[8] Sannadi signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the club on 1 February 2025, his 24th birthday.[9] He made his club andLa Liga debut a week later as a second-half substitute in a 3–0 win overGirona atSan Mamés (Endika Buján, a reserve squad member and fellow former Barakaldo player, doing likewise).[10][11]
Eligible to represent either Spain or Morocco, Sannadi switched allegiance to the later, stating that playing for the national team is "his biggest dream".[1]
