TheMarlborough Highway is a minor highway inTasmania. It links theLyell Highway to theLake Highway and cuts short the otherwise very long journey from the West Coast to theCentral Highlands.[1]
The road leaves the Lyell Highway nearBronte Park and travels overland toMiena, on theGreat Lake. There are no settlements along its route.
Marlborough was an historical name for the area at the southern end of the highway, also known as Bronte, south of Bronte Park.[2]
The road is unsealed,[3] and in times of heavy snow it cannot be passed.
