Mark Stuart Ardington (1976 – 27 June 2024) was a British visual effects artist. He was born asMark Williams and later sometimes credited also asMark Williams Ardington.

Life

Ardington studied computer animation & visualisation atBournemouth University from 1994 to 1997.[2]

He received the 2015Academy Award for his work on the filmEx Machina in the category ofBest Visual Effects. He shared the award withAndrew Whitehurst,Paul Norris, andSara Bennett.[3]

Mark Ardington died on 27 June 2024, aged 48.[4] He left behind his wife and two daughters.[5]
