
Marion Caspers-Merk (born 24 April 1955 inMannheim) is a German politician and member of theSocial Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). She was a member of theBundestag, representingLörrach – Müllheim, and Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Health.[1][2] Alongside other prominent figures such asKofi Annan andJavier Solana, Caspers-Merk served on theGlobal Commission on Drug Policy which advocates reforms in drug policies towards the regulation of all substances.[3][4]
