American inventor

Mario Cardullo is anAmericaninventor who received the firstpatent for a passive,read-writeRadio-frequency identification.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] He is a 1957 graduate of the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, now known as theNew York University Tandon School of Engineering.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15] He earned his doctorate degree from theGeorge Mason University.
