Marilyn Jarrett (née Black) (March 4, 1939 – March 10, 2006) was an American politician and businesswomen.
Jarrett was born inSnowflake, Arizona. She went toArizona State University andBrigham Young University. Jarrett was involved in the real estate business and the sew fabric business. She lived inMesa, Arizona. Jarrett served in theArizona House of Representatives from 1995 to 2001 and was aRepublican. She then served in theArizona Senate from 2001 until her death in 2006. Jarrett died atSt. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, inPhoenix, Arizona, after collapsing at her legislative office.[1][2][3][4]
She was the last person tolay-in-state at theArizona State Capitol prior to SenatorJohn McCain in 2018.[5][6][7] She was aLatter-day Saint.[8]
